Catrice Camouflage Cream

Everybody has been talking about this little pot of wonder lately so when I was in the market for a new concealer, I knew exactly where to look. I haven’t tried too many Catrice products but anything I have tried has impressed me and I read and hear nothing but positive reviews. For around the €3 mark, I didn’t think I could go very wrong with this.

I opted for the lightest shade – 010 Ivory – out of the three shades available. They also do a light beige and rosy beige option. I thought it looked a little dark and pretty yellow but I knew Shiv from LetzMakeup used it and my skin tone is pretty similar to hers. Excuse the photo – it was taken during the heatwave and the product is sweating a little. It is usually quite a thick consistency. To the touch it feels quite waxy but on the skin it melts into a thick cream. I like to apply it with my finger – simply dabbing it where necessary and tapping to blend it in. The concealer tends to stick fast to the skin which I think is a good thing as it means it won’t migrate throughout the day.

Here is a charming photograph of my blotchy chin and then concealed using the Catrice Camouflage Cream and nothing else – no foundation or anything.

I know not everybody will like to use it under the eye because it is so thick but I actually love it for that area. Because of how it adheres to the skin, it doesn’t budge throughout the day and it also isn’t prone to creasing like other creamy concealers can be. The photos speak for themselves – the pigmentation is incredible.

My one issue with this product is the colour. While it does look lighter on the skin than in the pot, I still wish it was just one or two shades lighter so it had more of a brightening effect for under the eye area. I do think the product is designed for blemishes though so it’s just something I would wish for. Don’t let this put you off if you are pale skinned however, as it will still work for you.

All in all I adore this product and will most definitely repurchase it. The pigmentation and wear time beats so many other high end concealers I have used hands down for a ridiculously low price.

What do you think? Have you tried this? Does it sound like your kind of thing? Or do you prefer a more liquid concealer?
